Elgin Partnership for Early Learning values the role our professional educators bring to the community. The Directors and Family Care Providers are critical to the early learning landscape and part of having children ready for Kindergarten. We value their leadership, expertise, and care for children ages five and under. Our directors and family care providers meet quarterly to share information, collaborate, work toward solutions and bring action to our youngest learners’ families and their outcomes.
Directors’ Lunch and Learn Network – EPEL convenes local Childcare Directors quarterly or as needed to support their professional journey to provide high-quality continuous improvement for early care and education programs. The peer learning opportunities and voice of the local infrastructure include feedback to collaborate to offer topics that help meet the needs of the directors and the early learning landscape.
Family Care (In-Home Care) Providers’ Dessert and Discuss Network – Providers meet quarterly in the evenings for network building, peer learning, and support. EPEL provides training and professional learning opportunities to support high-quality early care and education in their homes. Family Care Providers are another key piece to the early learning system of having children ready for Kindergarten.
