All children should have equitable access to affordable high-quality early care and education experiences and opportunities in the community. Elgin Partnership for Early Learning (EPEL) assists families with children aged birth through five to connect to and access early care and education programs in the community that will prepare their children for success in school and life.
EPEL offers an 844-KID-INFO free phone line families can call and someone will provide resources and support for child care assistance funding and enrollment options in English and Spanish.
Families have choices of childcare. Many families rely on informal child care provided by family members, friends, and neighbors or licensed in-home care family care providers because of cost and availability.
